Have you considered growing the “NEW” class of wheat known as “CANADIAN NORTHERN HARD RED” or “CNHR” wheat?

This new class takes affect as of August 1, 2016 and represents a new era in wheat marketing. This class of wheat is designed for all wheat varieties with lower gluten strength and a range of protein levels. The Canadian Grain Commission has also tightened the quality parameters for CWRS wheat and several popular varieties including Harvest, Kane and Lillian will be transitioned to CNHR effective August 1, 2018.

We are happy to announce that we now have full registration on varieties Faller, Prosper, and Elgin ND under this new class. These high yielding varieties have drawn considerable interest from grain merchandisers and producers need to be aware of this market potential. Faller and Prosper have a significant yield advantage, whereas Elgin ND has higher protein.

Our information and experience with growing this class of wheat for the last three years indicates that producers should expect an average yield increase of 20%. And current market forecasts show about a 10% reduction in price compared to CWRS when factoring grade and protein.

20% more Yield + 10% lower Price = 10% higher returns per acre ( at no additional cost!)
